NEWS
I am delighted to be able to tell you that I shall shortly be working with the Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA, formerly the Pep and Isa Managers Association, PIMA) to develop their presence and focus in the Pension, Life, “Wrap” and Distribution aspects of the UK retail financial services market. I anticipate a wide range of interactions with the Regulators in these fields, as well as with Whitehall, Westminster and product providers.
This is an exciting development into new fields for TISA and I am very pleased to be involved with it. I look forward to helping them develop the profile and success they have already achieved in the field of Individual Savings Accounts and Child Trust Funds, into new markets.
My existing business commitments through Lyncombe will remain unaffected and will continue as normal.
The Pensions Report 2007 will be of compelling interest to anyone concerned with the present, and future, of pensions in the UK, whether occupational or personal. Containing brand new qualitative and quantitative consumer research focusing on how people build up assets for retirement, it informs and predicts the future for UK pensions in the NPSS era. Backed up by expert commentary, it builds on the perceptions of the 2006 Report. More information at www.the-pensions-report.com
The Chancellor’s pre-budget statement in December, changed the landscape for Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) after “A” day through the exclusion of “exotic” investments, particularly residential property.
We still see strong growth potential in the SIPP market, but we see wider changes in the future shape of the UK pensions market ahead, that will affect how SIPPs integrate with it.
We have prepared a brief presentation for current and prospective clients on this topic that we would be pleased to share with you.
